Cooking: Penne with Pesto

My own recipe for pesto...

Basil, approx 2 cups
Pine nuts, approx 2T
Garlic, 5-6 cloves
Parmesan, 7-8 shavings
Salt, a few teaspoons
Pepper, a few good grinds
Olive oil

Put all except olive oil in the cuisinart and pulse. Drizzle oil through the top while the blade is running, you'll have put enough oil in when the pesto starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl... Toss with cooked penne pasta and serve topped with a few more shavings of parmesan. A side salad of mixed baby greens with a balsamic vinaigrette and a pinot grigio makes for a perfect meal.
